Safety mask production against corona pandemic
Jonas & Redmann supports the engagement against the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting the development of national production capacities for safety equipment. A flexible production platform enables the mass production of Corona SARS-Cov-2 pandemic respiratory masks.
Safe respiratory masks are essential to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The Jonas & Redmann high-speed assembly line produces up to 150,000 safety masks per day. The line thus sets a standard in terms of output with high quality.
Jonas & Redmann is an equipment supplier for high-tech industries. In the medical engineering, automotive and energy sectors, we’re leading in the manufacturing of machines designed for the mass production of new and innovative products.
Jonas & Redmann has been active in the medical industry for more than 30 years. For example, Jonas & Redmann develops and produces production lines for the manufacture of dialysis filters, injection devices or pacemakers.
Stefan Jonas and Lutz Redmann are proud of the fact that with every project, with every special purpose machine, they make a contribution to future industries. The design of a fully automated platform for the mass production of face masks is in line with this spirit. Lutz Redmann, co-managing director of the Jonas & Redmann Group GmbH: “Enabling the automated production of high-quality respiratory masks is hundred percent congruent with our philosophy and skills. Jonas & Redmann is the perfect partner, when a game changing product should be available at a reasonable price to many people in the shortest possible time.”
With the development of this technology, Jonas & Redmann is responding to the call of state governments and relevant industry associations, such as the VDMA.
The engineering process was accompanied by a Berlin-based supplier of protective equipment. The masks provided by this company are particularly innovative with regard to the processed material and the resulting protective effect of the masks.
As with all products from Jonas & Redmann, the design of the production line is modular. The modular principle allows the machine to be easily adapted to different mask types – for all applications for protection against the corona virus. High-quality components are used which meet the underlying medical requirements and guarantee a safe, high-quality end product.
