Since its foundation in 1989, Jonas & Redmann has remained an owner-operated enterprise. Consequently, we aren’t obligated to follow every trend. Our focus is placed on quality and the pleasure taken in finding innovative solutions.

2017

  • Delivery of the 20th automatic bundling machine for dialyzer production marks a milestone for the company in the medical technology sector

2016

  • Development of standard assembly platforms for the flexible and scalable production in the automobile and electronics industries
  • Installation of the first assembly line for automotive components

2015

  • Delivery of a fully-automated production line for mass production of lithium ion batteries

2014

  • Jonas & Redmann 25th anniversary – founded with merely “the shirts on our backs and a few good ideas”, today the company is an international provider of special-purpose machinery for high-tech sectors

2013

  • Management of the ProTrak research association project with the objective to promote cost degression of batteries and therefore to further the development of electric mobility funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi)

2012

  • Research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on highly-efficient, ultra-thin wafer solar cells as an important contribution for the reduction of specific solar cell costs

2011

  • A milestone in the development of the company has been reached – Jonas & Redmann has 700 employees
  • Jonas & Redmann China Co. Ltd. is founded

2010

  • Company enters the field of battery technology and establishes “Energy Storage” business unit
  • Jonas & Redmann Korea Ltd. is founded

2009

  • International presence and customer proximity in Asia and the USA are strengthened
    Jonas & Redmann USA Inc. und Jonas & Redmann Taiwan Ltd. are founded

2008

  • Formation of the joint venture JRT Photovoltaics in collaboration with THIEME printing specialists
  • Market launch of the JRT metallization line

2007

  • Delivery of the first Wafer Inspection System (WIS)

2005

  • Delivery of a system for the complete networking of a solar cell factory – a milestone in intelligent materials logistics is reached

2002

  • Developed and delivered the first automation system for a completely automated manufacturing line for crystalline solar cells

  • First automation of the most complex handling steps in crystalline solar cell production
  • Delivery of the first Jonas & Redmann WHD and WHP
