This system is for the production of cell assemblies following the z-folding principle.
For the production of prismatic cells, a stacking process is usually carried out according the z-folding principle. Hereby, anode and cathode sheets are stacked through a repeated process until a certain height has been reached, at which point the stack is then fastened. The separator band is cut to size directly from the coil and placed between the electrode layers using the z-folding approach. The electrode material feed is carried out directly from either the reel or magazine.
This system is configurable for laboratories, pilot applications and its usage in mass production.
