  1989 The company is founded by Stefan Jonas and Lutz Redmann. From the beginning, our company has been providing complete solutions for the manufacture of specialty machines and equipment. The first customers are in the textile industry and medical technology.
  1992 Our first patent is registered.
  1999 Jonas & Redmann enters the photovoltaic sector.
  2001

The company delivers the first Wafer Handling Diffusion WHD and Wafer Handling Plasma WHP systems. The first automation of the most complex handling steps marks a feat in innovation, setting new standards around the world.
  2002 Implementation of the first assembly line automation, integrating the entire value chain in the field of crystalline silicon solar cells.
  2005 The production of an entire solar cell factory is linked to mark a milestone in intelligent material logistics.
  2007 Jonas & Redmann delivers the first Wafer Inspection System WIS.
  2008 JRT Photovoltaics emerges from a joint venture with THIEME. The JRT Metallization Line celebrates its market launch.      
  2009 Jonas & Redmann expands global sales and service. Subsidiaries are founded in Taiwan and the USA.
  2010 Entering the battery technology business segment and further internationalization by founding our subsidiary in Korea.
  2011 More than 700 qualified employees pushing the company's success. Jonas & Redmann is expanding its presence in Asia by setting up a subsidiary in China.
